Many marinades seem to use soy sauce, worcestershire sauce or fish sauce—all high sources of sodium. We developed this marinade when we started to reduce our sodium intake.
Serves 4-6Times
- Preparation:
- 15 minutes
Ingredients
- About 600g of steak or chops
- ¼ cup of port
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon tarragon
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed or grated
- 1cm knob of ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon thai chilli sauce
Method
Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix.
Tip
Freeze meat and marinade in portions to thaw for weeknight dinners.
