Mustard and White Wine Vinegar Dressing for Oysters

I love oysters and always prepare them for special occasions and holidays. This is probably my favourite dressing and it's so quick and easy to prepare.

Serves 2

Times

Preparation:
10 minutes

Ingredients

  • ½ tsp whole seed mustard
  • ½ tsp dijonnaise
  • 3 tsp white wine vinegar
  • Couple of sprigs of fresh dill, chopped
  • Ground pepper (optional)
  • A dozen oysters on the half shell

Method

  1. Mix the mustards and white wine vinegar together in a small container.
  2. Before serving:
    1. Spoon about ¼ tsp of the dressing into each half shell.
    2. Sprinkle fresh dill, and optionally, some ground pepper in each half shell.

Notes

Substitute the following ingredients, if required:

  • Dijonnaise with dijon mustard

    Alterantively, substitute the whole seed mustard and dijonnaise with 1 tsp of a mustard of your choice

  • White wine vinegar with apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • Dill with shallots
